Job Description

SkyBridge Luxury is leading a confidential search for a Resort Manager at a Forbes-rated luxury destination resort in the Mid-Atlantic United States .

This leader will direct daily operations across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa and resort activities, partner closely with the General Manager, and assume overall resort leadership in the General Manager's absence.

The ideal candidate brings a strong Rooms foundation, visible leadership and the ability to influence department heads, develop managers and hold teams accountable for consistent luxury service.

Nonnegotiable Requirements

• Director of Rooms experience is required. Candidates must currently serve, or have previously served, as a Director of Rooms.
• A minimum of three years of Forbes Travel Guide Four- or Five-Star property experience is required. Candidates must have direct experience working at hotels or resorts holding one of these ratings.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• First-time Resort Managers are welcome. Accomplished Directors of Rooms ready to broaden their leadership across a full resort operation are encouraged to apply, provided they meet the required qualifications.

Preferred Background

• Luxury resort experience is strongly preferred and will be prioritized over city-hotel experience.
• An independent luxury hotel background in a resort destination is especially desirable.
• Experience coordinating guest activities, recreation and multiple resort departments will be valuable.

The property offers luxury accommodations, multiple dining experiences, spa and wellness amenities, recreation, and private events. Guests expect attentive, personalized service and consistent standards throughout their stay. Property, employer and specific location details will be shared directly with qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa and resort activities, ensuring department heads work together to deliver a consistent guest experience.
• Partner with the General Manager on operational strategy, department objectives and financial performance; lead the resort in the General Manager's absence.
• Chair the resort's Standards Committee, strengthen Forbes Travel Guide service and facility standards, and ensure training translates into consistent execution.
• Develop department leaders through coaching, performance evaluations and candid feedback. Build accountability, employee engagement and a culture of professionalism and respect.
• Manage labor productivity, operating expenses and departmental performance while protecting service quality. Partner with Sales & Marketing, Revenue Management and F&B leadership to improve revenue and profitability.
• Serve as the senior operational contact for VIP arrivals, high-profile guests and guest recovery situations.
• Ensure culinary experiences, resort programming and special events reflect the resort's luxury positioning.
• Work with the General Manager and ownership representatives on capital projects, preventive maintenance and asset preservation.
• Lead operational improvements and organizational change while maintaining team engagement, service consistency, safety and cleanliness.

Additional Qualifications

• Progressive luxury hospitality leadership with demonstrated success developing managers and improving guest service and financial performance.
• Strong knowledge of Rooms operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping and the coordination of guest services.
• Financial confidence with budgets, labor management and operating results.
• Experience with Opera, Resort Suites, Knowcross or comparable hotel operating systems.
• Availability to work on-site with a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• College or university degree preferred.
