Temporary Dental Hygienist 

Medical Leave Coverage | Long-Term Potential 

Minnewaska Dental, a private practice in Glenwood, Minnesota—just 20 minutes south of Alexandria—is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our highly talented team. This temporary position will provide coverage for a medical leave, with the potential to become a long-term opportunity.

What You’ll Do 

• Provide comprehensive Dental Hygiene care in collaboration with our dentists. 
• Co-treatment plan with the DDS to support excellent patient outcomes. 
• Capture diagnostic radiographs and evaluate periodontal health. 
• Diagnose and treat periodontal disease within your scope of practice. 
• Educate patients about preventive solutions for caries prevention and management. 
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care that reflects Minnewaska Dental’s standards. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Licensed to administer local anesthetic. 
• Strong clinical skills in diagnostic x-rays, periodontal disease diagnosis and treatment, and preventive care. 
• Ability to co-treatment plan with the DDS and provide comprehensive Dental Hygiene care. 
• Deep interest in continuing education and staying current with Dental Hygiene treatment modalities. 
• New Dental Hygiene graduates are welcome to apply. 

Areas of Practice 

• General Dentistry: esthetic crowns, bridges, implants, and composite restorations 
• Prosthodontics: removable and fixed 
• Endodontics: premolar and molar 
• Oral Surgery: extractions 
• Cosmetic Dentistry: veneers, anterior smile design, in-office whitening, and full-mouth rehabilitations 

Technology & Operatory Setup 

• Eaglesoft practice-management software 
• Schick sensors 
• Diode laser 
• Cavitron 
• Three-operatory layout 

Schedule 

• Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. 
• Flexible scheduling available
