Introduction Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director to join their team. Caring for dogs and cats, this full-service animal hospital is committed to delivering high-quality veterinary medicine within a collaborative and supportive environment. The practice embraces Fear Free methods to enhance patient care and client experience, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian looking to combine leadership responsibilities with clinical practice. Role Description and Responsibilities As Medical Director, you will lead and manage the hospital while ensuring the highest standards of medical care, client experience, team engagement, and operational productivity. You will advocate for patient wellbeing, educate clients and team members on pet health and the human-animal bond, and foster long-term relationships within the practice and community. Clinical responsibilities include delivering preventative care, performing comprehensive diagnostic workups, developing treatment plans, communicating diagnoses and home care instructions, and coordinating follow-up care. Leadership responsibilities include guiding the hospital team through daily caseload management, improving efficiency, supporting team development, resolving client concerns, and partnering with hospital leadership to enhance medical quality, client satisfaction, and overall hospital performance. This position is open to experienced veterinarians only. Practice Details This full-service small animal hospital provides a broad range of veterinary services including wellness examinations, diagnostic testing, advanced diagnostic imaging, dental care, dental radiology, spay and neuter procedures, pet surgeries, parasite prevention, vaccinations, microchipping, dermatology and allergy care, pet nutrition services, and end-of-life support. The hospital operates Monday and Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The practice is committed to Fear Free veterinary medicine and maintains membership with the AVMA and FVMA. The team is also RECOVER Rescuer certified. Team The hospital is supported by a team of 6 veterinarians, including two full-time and four part-time doctors, alongside a great tenured support team and practice management.
