Job Description

We are currently seeking top-tier, senior Commercial HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanics for a variety of large-scale construction projects in the Austin area. This role is for true mechanics who can walk onto a job site, read complex prints, run duct independently, and handle equipment sets with zero supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Duct Installation: Efficiently hang and install various types of commercial ductwork (including square, round, spiral, and rectangular systems).
• Equipment & Component Setting: Set curbs for Rooftop Units (RTUs), install grills, registers, and dampers, and properly position HVAC equipment.
• Print Reading & Layout: Study schematics, blueprints, and manuals to plan installation sequences and perform precise field layouts.
• Safety & Quality Control: Adhere strictly to all local mechanical codes, structural quality standards, and OSHA safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven, recent experience in commercial HVAC sheet metal installation (Required).
• Trade Mastery: High familiarity with specialized sheet metal equipment, field tools, and advanced fabrication techniques.
• Tools & Transport: Must possess your own full set of hand tools required for the trade and have reliable transportation to commute to projects across the Austin metro area.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to safely handle a physically demanding commercial workload, including lifting heavy components and working at heights.
• Professional Skills: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot layout conflicts on the fly.
