About Your Role
The Project Manager will support the Senior Project Manager in managing complex construction and infrastructure projects from planning and pre-construction through design, construction, and closeout. The role will provide project leadership and oversight for scope, budget, schedule, procurement, contract administration, risk management, quality, and stakeholder coordination. The Project Manager will also contribute to staff development, client relationship management, business development, proposal preparation, and contract negotiations while ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and in accordance with program and client requirements.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, Architecture, or a related field required.
What You'll Need to Get the Job Done
- Minimum of five (5) years of construction experience, including at least two (2) years of progressive project management responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of contract management, pre-design, pre-construction, renovations, demolition, new construction, building systems, construction technology, and project delivery practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project teams, budgets, schedules, contracts, risks, and client expectations.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, written, verbal, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint, as well as project tracking and management software.
- Ability to adapt to new technology and project management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Management, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.
- Experience working with FEMA or other federally funded programs and processes.
- Experience with Kahua or similar project management platforms.
- Experience supporting large-scale public infrastructure, disaster recovery, or capital improvement programs.
What You'll Do
- Support the Senior Project Manager and program leadership in managing assigned projects and initiatives.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and execution strategies.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Lead and mentor project teams while fostering collaboration, accountability, and effective communication.
- Coordinate planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
- Administer contracts and coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Monitor project progress, milestones, deliverables, and performance against established objectives.
- Identify project risks and develop and implement mitigation strategies.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, stakeholders, and senior leadership regarding project status, decisions, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, contractual requirements, and client expectations.
- Review project documentation, invoices, change orders, schedules, and cost information to support effective project controls.
- Address project challenges proactively and implement solutions to maintain project objectives.
- Apply proven project management practices to improve efficiency, reduce project delivery costs, and add value to the program.
- Support procurement, bid evaluation, and contractor and consultant selection activities.
- Assist with preparation of proposals, statements of qualifications, presentations, and other business development materials.
- Contribute to strategy development, positioning, contract negotiations, and pursuit of new work.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Support compliance with applicable federal, territorial, and program requirements.
- Participate in project meetings, prepare status updates, and maintain accurate project records.
- Support staff development, mentoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other project management responsibilities necessary to support successful program delivery.

Salary
$160,000.00 – $170,000.00 annually
