Shelton Public Schools is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and student-centered music educator to lead our K–12 Vocal Music and 5–12 Instrumental Band Program beginning in the 2026–2027 school year.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to build upon a strong tradition of music education while inspiring students to develop their musical talents, confidence, creativity, and appreciation for the arts.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide vocal music instruction for students in grades K–12.
- Direct instrumental band programs for students in grades 5–12.
- Plan and conduct concerts, performances, contests, and other music-related events.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and participation.
- Collaborate with staff, administration, families, and community members to promote student success.
- Maintain and organize music equipment, instruments, and instructional materials.
- Support and promote the district’s commitment to academic excellence and student achievement.
Qualifications
- Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement.
- Strong instructional, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying ages and abilities.
- Commitment to building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
