Maintenance Tech - Level 3 COE- Day Shift

Opportunity ID: 22534 Location: United States of America, South Carolina, Dillon Division: Wyman Gordon Function: Maintenance Workplace Type: On‑Site Position Type: Full Time Primary Duties & Responsibilities Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction. Correctly interpret work order. Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed. Assist in maintaining inventories (critical parts, supplies, etc.). Maintain and repair industrial electrical circuits. Fabricate and install guards, steps, handrails, platforms, etc. Enter and schedule work orders. Identify and implement preventive and predictive maintenance tasks. Perform all levels of facility maintenance tasks. Mentor and train level 1 and level 2 maintenance technicians. Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition. Perform daily housekeeping / 6S activities as required. Perform other duties as requested by lead, supervisor or manager. Required Skills Intermediate ability to use all hand tools, wrenches, etc. Intermediate ability to use all power tools. Intermediate ability to use diagnostic tools (amp probes, voltage meters). Intermediate ability to use basic inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, comparators. Navigate intranet to locate process documents – basic computer skills. Read and interpret work instructions and intermediate prints and dimensions. Experience & Education 6 to 10 years of manufacturing experience; prior military experience; or technical certification / degree required. GED or High School diploma required. Working Conditions Constant exposure to indoor / outdoor manufacturing environment. Constant exposure to moderate noise. May include small spaces, dust, fumes, odors, hot / cold temperatures, inside / outside noise vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces. Must be able to work any shift including overtime, weekends and holidays if scheduled. Physical Requirements Lift and carry items weighing up to thirty-five (35) pounds on a repetitive basis. Stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist and work at heights on an intermittent basis for up to twelve (12) hours. Hand manipulation including simple grasping, pushing and pulling of materials. Safely operate an overhead crane, boom lift and manlift. Reach and work above and below the shoulder level. Work with and around forklifts and hazardous machinery. Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment. Visual acuity to detect any flaws in the parts being inspected.
