Inventory Management Specialist

Duties

• You will serve as an INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the NAVAL WEAPONS STATION EARLE UIC 60478, ORDNANCE DEPARTMENT.
• You will provide detailed technical advice and assistance in areas of specialized ordnance management.
• You will compile reports concerning space utilization, storage compatibility, space availability, magazine and conveyance data, security and statistics on inventory line items.
• You will review incoming Fleet return material and makes determinations concerning utilization to meet load plan shortages.

Requirements Conditions of Employment

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

• Experience providing logistics support for ordnance items and their component parts.
• Experience using automated systems to verify availability of materials.
• Experience performing inventory reconciliation and trend analysis.
• Experience collecting and compiling data for required reporting of inventory statistics.
• Experience analyzing ammunition stock levels to determine overages or shortages.

GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

• Experience assisting with logistics support for ordnance items and their component parts.
• Experience using automated systems to verify availability of materials.
• Experience assisting with inventory reconciliation.
• Experience analyzing ammunition stock levels to determine overages or shortages.
