Automotive Service Manager The Automotive Service Manager at Mills Auto Group in the central and western North Carolina market is a crucial role in ensuring the success and efficiency of our dealership. As the leader of our service department, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of automotive service, including customer service, parts, inventory, and personnel. This is a full-time, individual contributor position with a base salary plus commission, offering a competitive compensation package of $80,000 to $120,000 per year, paid twice a month. Responsibilities include managing and overseeing all aspects of the service department, collaborating with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the dealership, developing and implementing strategies to increase service department profitability and efficiency, monitoring and analyzing service department performance data to identify areas for improvement, hiring, training, and managing a team of service advisors, technicians, and support staff, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction by maintaining quality service standards, handling customer complaints and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner, maintaining accurate records and documentation of all service department activities, and keeping up to date with industry trends and developments, and implementing best practices. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, with a degree in Automotive Technology or a related field preferred, at least 3-5 years of experience in automotive service management, a proven track record of success in increasing service department profitability and efficiency, strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team, excellent communication and customer service skills, sound knowledge of automotive systems and repairs, proficiency in computer systems and software related to automotive service, and a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
