Inspect and set safety switches.Check and add oil to gearboxes, pumps, and engines, grease bearings and perform other related preventive maintenance work on equipment. Inspect, repair, and maintain all mobile equipment including forklifts, elevated work platforms, carts, and tractors.Check for proper gear mesh and proper alignment of machinery using established methods and practices.Make visual inspections of plant operations ensuring that operational problems have been located and corrected.Requisition of parts and supplies and assist in the maintenance of spare parts inventory.Maintained records and prepared regular and special reports on the operation of equipment and systems; took and logged a variety of readings from equipment.Supply and maintain all hand tools needed for maintenance function.Maintain communications with production, engineering, and other maintenance personnel for orderly execution of duties.Observe all EHS rules and procedures.Maintain an orderly and clean work area to ensure a desirable and safe working environment. Perform other related duties as per the direction of the Manager.
