Location: Moscow, Tennessee / Greater Memphis Area
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00–$25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, with occasional early mornings, late afternoons, or weekend work based on project needs
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Field Operations Coordinator to support our construction projects throughout the Greater Memphis area.
This hands-on position combines material pickups and deliveries, jobsite support, project documentation, subcontractor coordination, and entry-level project management responsibilities.
Some days will involve picking up materials, processing returns, delivering supplies, removing trash, or organizing jobsites. Other days may involve meeting subcontractors onsite, documenting progress, following up on punch-list items, and assisting a Project Manager with coordination tasks.
This position is intended for someone who wants to learn construction management and has the potential to grow into an Assistant Project Manager and eventually a Project Manager. Advancement will be based on performance, reliability, communication, judgment, organization, and the ability to accept greater responsibility.
Primary ResponsibilitiesPick up, deliver, load, unload, and stage construction materials, tools, equipment, documents, and supplies.
Return unused, damaged, or incorrect materials to vendors.
Verify material quantities and visible condition before leaving suppliers.
Obtain and submit receipts, packing slips, return documents, and credit information.
Safely secure and transport materials.
Keep jobsites clean, organized, and presentable.
Pick up construction debris and loose trash as assigned.
Assist with moving and organizing materials onsite.
Take clear photographs of project conditions, progress, deliveries, damage, and completed work.
Prepare concise jobsite status and progress updates.
Document subcontractors onsite, crew size, work performed, delays, and outstanding needs.
Meet subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and service providers at project locations.
Provide access to work areas and communicate approved instructions from the Project Manager.
Contact the Project Manager when clarification or a field decision is required.
Follow up on punch-list items and incomplete work.
Help coordinate deliveries, subcontractor arrival times, inspections, and site access.
Assist with project task lists, schedules, contact information, and field records.
Report unsafe conditions, property damage, shortages, and project concerns promptly.
Update and close assignments in the company’s task or project-management system.
Provide timely status updates so Project Managers know what has been completed and what remains open.
As the employee demonstrates the required skills and judgment, additional responsibilities may include:
Reviewing basic plans, scopes of work, and project schedules.
Coordinating routine subcontractor activities.
Tracking open decisions, deliveries, selections, and punch-list items.
Assisting with material takeoffs and order preparation.
Preparing meeting notes and action-item lists.
Helping prepare jobsites for inspections.
Following up with vendors and subcontractors.
Assisting with small-project coordination.
Communicating routine project updates when authorized.
Taking responsibility for limited portions of a project under Project Manager supervision.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to safely lift and carry approximately 50 pounds.
Ability to work on active construction sites and in changing weather conditions.
Comfortable driving throughout the Greater Memphis area.
Comfortable using a smartphone for navigation, photographs, email, messaging, and project-management applications.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong organization and time-management skills.
Professional communication with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and coworkers.
Ability to manage changing priorities without losing track of assignments.
Willingness to perform both physical and administrative work.
Ability to recognize when an issue should be escalated.
Interest in learning construction project management.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Previous construction, maintenance, delivery, warehouse, field-service, or project-coordination experience.
Familiarity with residential or light-commercial construction.
Basic knowledge of construction materials, tools, and terminology.
Experience reading basic plans, scopes, or material lists.
Experience using construction or project-management software.
OSHA 10 certification.
Bilingual communication skills relevant to the construction industry.
Construction experience is preferred but may not be required for an exceptional candidate with strong reliability, organization, communication skills, and a willingness to learn.

$18.00–$25.00 per hour , depending on relevant experience, construction knowledge, organizational ability, communication skills, and demonstrated project-management potential.
Starting pay will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and ability to perform the responsibilities of the position. Pay increases and advancement will be based on performance, reliability, skill development, and the assumption of greater project-coordination responsibilities.
Overtime will be paid in accordance with applicable law and company policy.

This position requires frequent travel between the company office, active jobsites, suppliers, and vendor locations.
The employee must be able to:
Walk active construction sites and navigate uneven surfaces.
Climb stairs and work indoors and outdoors.
Bend, kneel, reach, load, and unload materials.
Safely lift and carry approximately 80 pounds.
Work around dust, noise, construction materials, and changing weather conditions.
Wear required personal protective equipment.

ScheduleThe typical schedule is Monday through Friday during normal construction hours. Start and finish times may vary based on pickups, subcontractor schedules, inspections, deliveries, and project needs. Occasional early mornings, extended days, or weekend work may be required.
