Shop Maintenance Technician

Our Shop Maintenance Technicians play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality of the dealership’s facilities. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to maintaining a shop environment that remains organized, well-maintained, and fully operational to support daily business activities. Key Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the shop, offices, restrooms, and surrounding grounds to ensure a safe, sanitary, and organized environment. Assist with general upkeep of equipment and work areas. Handle trash removal, floor care, window cleaning, and minor repairs as needed. Monitor and maintain janitorial supplies and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order. Follow safety protocols, dealership policies, and industry regulations to maintain a hazard-free workplace. Report facility issues or needed repairs promptly to the Shop Manager/Shop Foreman. Support the operational needs of the service team by maintaining clean work areas and assisting with special projects as assigned. Contribute to a team-oriented environment focused on productivity, safety, and quality. Maintain high standards of professionalism and contribute to a positive customer and employee experience. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in custodial, janitorial, or maintenance roles preferred. Basic knowledge of facility maintenance, cleaning procedures, tools, and equipment. Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills and willingness to assist others as needed Dependable team player with a positive attitude. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly. Must be able to walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, stoop, crouch, and move for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive tasks with hands and arms. Capable of safely working in a shop environment around equipment and machinery. Full dexterity and mobility required to operate cleaning equipment and handle tools. Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, cleaning chemicals, fumes, and airborne particles. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in both indoor and outdoor environments with varying temperatures. Working Conditions Experience a busy and dynamic work environment that includes both climate-controlled areas and parts storage facilities, with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and the physical demands of a bustling dealership. Work primarily in an air-conditioned shop, with ongoing exposure outdoor areas and moving equipment. Be prepared for a full-time schedule that may include extended hours, evenings, and weekends to support the operational needs of our luxury dealership operations.
