Cardiac Anesthesiologist opportunity to practice with a great team at UPMC Hamot, the regional referral hub in Erie, PA. The UPMC Hamot Medical Center is a regional tertiary-care medical facility, referral hub, and Level II trauma center based in Erie, PA. With over 400 beds, the hospital provides an extensive range of inpatient and outpatient services for the community. UPMC Hamot has almost 4,000 employees, including over 650 members on the medical team.

Requirements: Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures. Pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and/or verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring of the patient's physiological condition, and performance of clinical intervention as needed.

M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine, ECFMG and FLEX Completion, completion of approved residency in anesthesia, currently licensed as a physician.
