Clean Harbors is searching for a reliable and safely oriented Instrumentation and Electrical Maintenance Technician (I & E) with an excellent mechanical aptitude to join our Rollinsford, NH team! Responsibilities include but not limited to performing hands-on instrument checks, calibrations, and PLC Logic programming, along with diagnosing issues with control circuitry and assisting the maintenance departments with various tasks as needed.

Wage: $38.00-45.00hr DOE.

SIGN ON BONUS for 6/8/26 or 6/15/26 start dates.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Troubleshoots instrument and control malfunctions.
• Performs preventative maintenance checks and calibrations.
• Maintains accurate records and logs as required.
• Installs new system controls (including power wiring).
• Installs cabling, power distribution systems, and motor control centers.
• Services and replaces motors and lighting.
• Exposure to multi-disciplinary maintenance tasks preferred.
• Familiar with electrical work in a classified/hazardous areas.
• Other duties as assigned.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6+ years electrical experience preferred.
• 3+ years of instrumentation preferred.
• PLC troubleshooting experience.
• VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) troubleshooting and programming experience preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics and P&ID’s
• Knowledge of Data Control Systems (DCS).
• Experience with 480v and below.
• Must be willing to jump in and assist maintenance and other teams when needed.
• Exposure to multi-disciplinary maintenance tasks preferred.
• Mechanically inclined is an asset.
• Lift up 50lb, working at heights, confined/tight spaces, stooping, bending, standing for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
