UI/UX Developer

Piper Companies is looking for a UI/UX Developer to join a well established insurance company. This is a hybrid (3x a week) and full - time position located in Hunt Valley, MD. Responsibilities Maintain and develop dynamic, responsive, and accessible user interfaces for enterprise web and mobile applications using modern frameworks and design systems Partner with UI Team Lead to conduct usability testing, analyze user feedback, and identify issues; make evidence‑based recommendations for improvement Work with Product Managers and Engineers to understand business objectives and user needs; provide technical assessments, UI/UX recommendations, risk analysis, and accurate effort estimates Manage requirements gathering, definition, and design of new or evolving applications; create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high‑fidelity mockups Qualifications Expert knowledge of user‑centered design, accessibility (WCAG/ARIA), usability testing, and design systems Proficient in modern design and prototyping platforms such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, and Balsamiq Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox, Grid), LESS/SASS, JavaScript (ES6+), JSON, and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js Experience with Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, or Material UI for consistent and scalable component design Experience designing for SPAs and PWAs, with attention to responsive and mobile‑first design Familiarity with design tokens and component‑driven development (Storybook, Bit, or similar) Exposure to AI‑assisted design tools (e.g., Figma AI, Uizard, Galileo AI) Experience with Visual Studio and/or Visual Studio Code Compensation $100,000-$120,000 (based on experience) Comprehensive benefit package: Cigna Medical, Cigna Dental, Vision, 401k w/ ADP, PTO, paid holidays, sick leave as required by law This job opens for applications on 5/1/26.
