MRI Technologist
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations while ensuring patient safety, accurate imaging, and compliance with departmental protocols. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of MRI experience and an active ARRT MRI credential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Verify patient identification, physician orders, and exam requirements prior to each procedure.
- Prepare and educate patients regarding MRI procedures, safety requirements, and contrast administration.
- Perform MRI examinations according to established department protocols.
- Demonstrate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and appropriate patient positioning.
- Select appropriate scanning techniques and protocols in coordination with the radiologist.
- Evaluate images for quality and completeness and perform necessary adjustments.
- Administer IV MRI contrast under appropriate physician/radiologist supervision according to established protocols.
- Operate MRI scanners and related imaging and information systems safely and effectively.
Requirements include:
- 1+ year of MRI Technologist experience.
- Active ARRT – RT (R)(MR) or ARRT – RT (MR) certification.
- BLS (AHA) – Required.
