The Service Design Engineer plays a critical role in shaping and enhancing the overall service experience for our customers by applying systems thinking, data analysis, and user-centered design principles. This role is responsible for designing, improving, and optimizing service delivery processes that align with organizational goals and meet the evolving needs of customers and stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves providing tailored solutions to customer challenges, ensuring seamless integration of services and technologies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the design and refinement of end-to-end service experiences across customer touchpoints.
• Conducting journey mapping, service blueprinting, and pain-point analysis to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to co-create innovative, scalable service solutions.
• Partnering with school districts, administrators, and transportation staff to understand their experiences and expectations.
• Developing and facilitating workshops and feedback sessions with stakeholders to guide service innovation.
• Translating customer insights into actionable service enhancements and measurable improvements.
• Using data from routing systems, GPS, surveys, and analytics platforms to inform service designs.
• Modeling and evaluating service changes using simulations and performance data.
• Delivering clear, actionable insights to leadership and field teams to support continuous service optimization.
• Collaborating with IT and product teams to design and implement digital tools that support service goals.
• Ensuring customer-facing tools are intuitive, effective, and reflective of actual service workflows.
• Championing initiatives that reduce environmental impact and improve operational sustainability.
• Staying informed on industry trends and best practices in service design, transportation technology, and user experience.
• Providing tailored solutions to customer challenges, ensuring seamless integration of services and technologies.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and provide proactive support.
• Coordinating with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met and exceeded.
