Accounting Specialist (Accounts Payable & Receiving) Glen Rock, NJ | Fully Onsite Overview A growing import and distribution company is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support accounts payable, inventory receiving, and logistics coordination functions within a fast‑paced operational environment. This role supports a smaller close‑knit office where employees wear multiple hats and work closely across accounting, purchasing, logistics, and inventory teams. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong AP and inventory‑related experience who enjoys operational accounting work, document coordination, receiving support, and working within a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities Process vendor invoices and match supporting documentation, purchase orders, and product receipts Support inventory receiving and inbound product documentation processes Coordinate with logistics, purchasing, vendors, and storage facilities to ensure accurate document flow Research and resolve discrepancies involving invoices, shipping documents, inventory records, and third‑party storage reports Assist with inventory reconciliation activities and operational accounting support Maintain organized records for inbound domestic and imported products Support inbound logistics and receiving operations as needed Communicate issues and discrepancies to leadership and internal teams appropriately Assist with additional accounting and operational functions across the office as needed Ideal Background 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience, ideally within manufacturing, distribution, import/export, food, or logistics environments Strong inventory‑related experience including receiving, reconciliations, inventory documentation, or logistics coordination Comfortable supporting both accounting and operational responsibilities within a hybrid role Strong Excel and organizational skills Good communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with vendors, logistics, and purchasing teams Stable work history and strong tenure preferred Comfortable with occasional overtime as business needs arise Someone proactive, detail‑oriented, and capable of growing with the organization long‑term Additional Information Small team environment with strong family‑style culture Opportunity to gain exposure across accounting, logistics, inventory, and operations Flexible start times between 7:30AM–8:30AM Office environment detached from distribution operations Growing organization with opportunity for long‑term stability and additional responsibility #J-18808-Ljbffr London Approach
