Description: Nights in a progressive care unit. The unit has 55 beds. Weekend requirements are as needed, rotating. Float requirement is yes, to similar units based on facility needs. No on-call requirement. Block scheduling is on a case-by-case basis. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Daily census is approximately 38. The patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. This role involves various nursing tasks and patient care responsibilities, including cardiac telemetry and management of IVs. Travelers may receive brief orientation on the unit prior to start. Modules are completed onsite during orientation. All hours are factored into the average workweek for the role.
