Measurement TechnicianThe Measurement Technician ensures oil and gas measurement accuracy and integrity by managing measurement programs, including frequency, sampling, reporting, and documentation, in compliance with State and Federal regulations.Job Functions And Key Responsibilities:Install, maintain, and calibrate turbine, Coriolis, ultrasonic, and orifice metersInstall, maintain, and calibration of pressure, temperature, and other transmittersInstall and maintain radio and cell communicationsCalibrate analyzers, turbines, Coriolis, and gas chromatographsMake orifice plate changes to accommodate customer flow ratesResolve measurement issues, including accounting for unaccounted for productRecognize malfunctions in individual equipment components and perform maintenance as necessaryAbility to monitor and analyze measurement data and the ability to react to dataInterface with gas control and plant operationsInstall, and maintain various flow computersInterface with customers and all other craftsMust be proficient in the use of personal computers and associated softwareMust be an initiative-taker and be able to prioritize work based on business needsMaintain a clean and safe working environmentMake any or all repairs as deemed reasonable and safeMaintain accurate records including shutdown and safety checksMaintain all required documentation for process safety managementOperate a company vehicleAlways maintain the company vehicle to ensure equipment safetyMaintain tools and equipment issuedWork weekends and overtime on an as needed basisOther duties as assignedMinimum Essential Qualifications:Must have a valid driver's licenseHigh school diploma or equivalentInterpersonal communication skills are required to interface with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors; able to work in a self-directed work teamMust become proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software modules, including Word, Excel, and OutlookMust work with a minimum of supervision and be able to manage their time when given multiple tasksWilling to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and respond to call outs as needed to fulfill business objectivesRegular and reliable attendance is requiredPreferred Qualifications:Two-year associates degree in instrumentation or equivalent on the job trainingTwo years' experience in petrochemical industryExperience working in a team environmentStrong organizational skillsPhysical Demands:Ability to lift, push, and pull at least a minimum of 50lbs.Ability to work in changing climate conditionsAble to work in close quartersMust be able to work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing and standingEqual Employment Opportunity:Targa Resources provides equal employment opportunities based on merit, experience, and other work-related criteria and without regard to race, color, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sex, age, pregnancy, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.
