Senior Revenue Accountant- REMOTE!

Rapidly growing, private-equity backed technology company is looking to hire a Senior Revenue Accountant to handle the operational and technical accounting related to the revenue area. This is an exciting time to join the organization as they are poised for continued growth and looking for individuals looking to advance their career within the organization. The Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for the following:
- Handle monthly close responsibilities related to revenue, including booking deferred revenue and completing revenue reconciliations
- Evaluate new customer contracts and set up in the system to ensure proper revenue recognition
- Handle end to end customer billing on a monthly basis
- Ensure revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
- Assist in establishing streamlined policies and procedures and create efficiencies where possible
- Ad hoc projects
The Senior Revenue Accountant must possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition under GAAP
- Prior experience with billing/invoicing
- Experience with recurring revenue models a plus
Position will work 100% REMOTE! Must be on EST or CST
