Machinist

The Machinist will support the execution and delivery of all INTEGRA specialized services, as required and based on project scopes. This position is responsible for performing a various spectrum of tasks such as: Portable Machining: Milling: Pump/motor bases and keyway Pipe cutting, beveling, and transitioning Line Boring Tube beveling Flange facing Operate a manual lathe, mills and various other manual shop machining equipment as required. Read and interpret blueprints, manuals and detailed drawings related to specific machinery or equipment and ensure all work is completed to specified industry standards Attend and participate in daily and monthly Health & Safety meetings Assist Field Millwrights in conducting field millwrighting operations as required Collaborate with other trades in completing various mechanical scopes like controlled bolting (Torquing & Tensioning) and more Maintain a safe and clean work environment Repairs of tools at the shop during the slow season at a reduced (75%) rate Designing, fabricating, and modifying the machining equipment to support the fieldwork covering the client’s needs Various other tasks that may be required Qualifications: Education/Certification/Credentials/Professional Registration: Journeyman Machinist certification from accredited post-secondary institution (or working towards) a plus but not required. Additional education is considered an asset but not required: Journeyman Millwright or Pipefitter certification. TWIC Card required Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required: Primary Requirements: Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a Machinist position (Manual Machining ) Advanced level of reading and understanding required such as specialized and technical manuals, detailed operation and procedure manuals, safety documentation, blueprints drawings and diagrams. Advanced level of mathematical skills required such as formulas, measurements and calculations on performance and specifications Ability to take initiative and work independently or in a team dynamic Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on safety Ability to effectively organize and prioritize a variety of tasks and duties and thrive in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills\ Strong knowledge of recommended installation procedures Manual dexterity, motor coordination and physical strength. The successful applicant must be able to pass a background check, provide proof of a valid Driver’s license and proof of all applicable safety certifications. Other Requirements: Willingness to work either days or night shifts. Willingness to work out of town and long hours. Willingness and ability to work in all weather, including working in the heat, cold and rain. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
