Job Summary:
A Pediatric Hematology Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) is sought for a 13-week assignment at a specialized pediatric healthcare facility. Located in Aurora, Colorado, this role involves working in a Level I trauma unit with a focus on medical oncology, hematology, and bone marrow transplant. The position requires caring for pediatric patients undergoing complex treatments, with the opportunity to gain experience in a teaching environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Aurora, Colorado
• Shift: Night shift, 12 hours, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Schedule: Nights, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Position Type: Pediatric Hematology Oncology RN
• Duration: 13 weeks (08/04/2026 - 11/07/2026)
• Unit Overview:
  • Specialty: Medical Oncology, Hematology, & Bone Marrow Transplant
  • Unit Size: 48 beds with cardiac and respiratory monitoring
  • Teaching Facility: Yes (experience strongly preferred)
  • Trauma Level: Level I
  • Patient Ratios: 1:2 (Bone Marrow Transplant), 1:3 (Chemo), up to 1:4 based on acuity
• Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years pediatric RN experience
  • 2 years Hematology / Oncology / Bone Marrow Transplant experience (all required)
  • Experience with ports and central line access/care
• Certifications:
  • BLS (AHA or ARC)
  • APHON Chemo/Bio Certification (required)
  • CPHON (preferred)
  • BMT Certification (preferred)
• Scheduling Requirements:
  • Every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights)
  • No on-call required
  • Must work at least one of three winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years)
• Float Requirements: Levels 6, 8, 9, 10, CPCU, NICU, North Campus, South Campus
• Additional Notes:
  • No holiday request for time off
  • No time off approval within the first two weeks of the assignment
  • Medical or religious flu exemption requests are allowed (must be submitted with the application)
