Job Title: Senior Ruby on Rails Development


Location: Remote


Duration: 6+ Months Contract

As a Software Engineer, you will work on multiple projects per year to solve complex problems and to deliver high quality solutions as part of a team.


Collaborating with product managers, designers, and clients, you will lead discussions on better ways to problem solve and deliver features to our clients and their users.


Your experience and level of confidence in decision making and the quality of your work ensure commitment to engineering excellence.

1. Experience building complex applications
2. BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
3. A passion for software engineering and application infrastructure
4. Understanding of version control (Git) and code documentation
5. A strong desire to improve yourself and those around you.

Should also be able to check off some of this:

1. Capacity to design and implement efficient RESTful APIs and microservices
2. Experience scaling applications with containers and container orchestration frameworks
3. Proficiency with Python, Ruby on Rails, Elixir, NodeJS, and/or front-end MVC frameworks
4. Familiarity with mobile development; Android or iOS
5. Exposure to leadership or mentorship roles, particularly on a development team
6. Experience working in an agency, as a software consultant, or tailoring solutions to match client requirements and capability
7. Ability to formulate and communicate opinions on what makes software good or bad to both technical and business client stakeholders
8. Previously built and deployed 12-factor apps as part of a collaborative project team
9. Contributed to open-source projects or presented at a conference.
