Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care delivery for Medical Surgical patients
• Provide clinical leadership to the patient care team for the assigned shift
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, initiating appropriate interventions as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate and optimize patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care activities and clinical findings in the electronic medical record

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois (must reflect Active status on Nursys)
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association required within 30 days of start
• Current Skills Checklist (within the past year) pertinent to Med Surg or Telemetry specialty
• Two completed supervisory reference forms with dates of employment listed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic medical record system
• Background in a high-census or fast-paced Medical Surgical environment
