Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare menu items according to established restaurant recipes and presentation standards.

Ensure all food is cooked to proper temperatures and completed in a timely, efficient manner during service.

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation, including routine daily cleaning and scheduled deep-cleaning tasks.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times.

Assist with inventory management, including stock monitoring and supply ordering as needed.

Support the development of new menu items, seasonal specials, and recipe enhancements.

Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to ensure guest orders are prepared accurately and delivered promptly.

Required Skills & Abilities

Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen.

Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper kitchen practices.

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to perform precise, efficient knife work and handle kitchen tools safely and consistently.

Must be able to complete the essential duties of the job with or without accommodation.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and work in a kitchen environment for extended periods.

Must be able to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar culinary role, preferably within an Italian or full-service restaurant environment.

Food handler training is preferred.
