Now Hiring: Experienced Outside MachinistsAre you an experienced Outside Machinist looking for a hands-on role in ship repair? Avail Staffing is seeking skilled professionals to support the repair of U.S. Naval vessels in Hampton Roads. If you have 3+ years of experience working on ABS or NAVSEA-certified vessels, we want you on our team!What You'll Do:Remove, repair, overhaul, install, and align main propulsion machinery and auxiliary equipment, including:Compressors, condensers, pumps, and forced draft blowersCargo handling machinery, anchor gear, cranes, and davitsElevators, conveyors, firefighting systems, and moreInstall and repair foundations for ship machinery and major components of ship armament.Test and inspect installed machinery and equipment during dock and sea trials.Use precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, height/depth gauges, and assist with optical equipment.Work from blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to execute high-quality installations and repairs.Why Join Us?Competitive Pay: $24 - $30 per hour Full-time, long-term contract work (40-50 hours per week) Referral Program Opportunities for growth in a high-demand industryRequirements:Minimum 3+ years of shipyard experience on ABS/NAVSEA vessels Ability to pass a background check and obtain a DBIDS badge Willingness to work day shifts, overtime, and weekends as neededApply Today!
