How you'll make an impact in this role

• Surgical Preparation: Ready the operating suite by setting up sterile drapes, solutions, and all necessary sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
• Intraoperative Support: Anticipate and efficiently hand requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon throughout the procedure.
• Patient Care Logistics: Assist in the safe preparation, transportation, positioning, and draping of patients to ensure comfort and safety.
• Inventory & Safety Controls: Maintain a meticulously organized instrument field and rigorously track item counts to prevent retained objects.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Per Tennessee Code (TCA) 68-57-101(a), non-certified applicants must have 18 months of surgical technologist experience in the 3 years preceding 5/21/07; or began the appropriate surgical technologist training prior to 5/21/07 and completed by 5/21/10.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
