Role & Responsibilities:
· Adhere to all safety/housekeeping requirements within a plant warehouse setting.
· Use of forklift in the timely loading or unloading of finished product and raw materials to/from trucks/railcars, and from the production line.
· Interpret customer orders so as to pull, stage, load, and check materials in a manner that ensures accurate and timely shipment.
· Recording of shipping data and other results in the manner required.
· Troubleshoot and apply basic maintenance skills to help service equipment.
· Expected to take an active role in all plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives as required by supervision.
· Adaptable to scheduling requirements including shiftwork, assignment of overtime, working weekends, etc. where applicable.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Able to safely operate a forklift in a manufacturing setting.
· Ability to inspect and troubleshoot the forklift to detect issues and maximize operational availability.
· Ability to interpret verbal instructions and written documents such as customer orders.
· Ability to apply basic computer skills required for data entry and reporting.
· Proficiency at accurately recording shipping data.
· Possess basic maintenance skills needed to help service equipment.
· Effective teamwork and communication skills needed with all co-workers.
· Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Additional Information:
· Shift: 3rd shift – 10:45pm to 7am
· Department: Service
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
