HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU – Intensive Care Unit Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU – Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/15/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 hours Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Shift Times: 7:00PM – 7:00AM Ward: Catholic Medical Center Weekends and On‑Call: Every third weekend, no call Unit Information: Intensive Care Number of Beds: 20 Type of Staff: Day Shift – 1 charge, 8‑10 RNs, 1‑3 LNA’s, sitter PRN Night Shift – 1 charge, 8‑10 RNs, 1‑3 LNA’s, sitter PRN Patient Ratios – variable biased on acuity (ECMO 2:1, post open heart surgery 1:1, Critical ICU/ devices pt 1:1, typical ICU assignment 1:2, stepdown assigned 1:3‑4) Equipment: IV pumps, telemetry monitors, hoyer/stand lifts, Impella, IABP, CRRT (nxstage), bladder scanner, Bair hugger, rapid transfuser, Blanketrol (for warming and cooling pts), chest tubes, vein finder, Sorin retransfuser post cardiac surgery, ventilator, high flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP EMR: Sunrise Must Have Experience with critical drips, vents, etc. Prior ICU experience, 2+ years preferred Typical Procedures Performed on Unit(s) Pericardiocentesis with drains left in place post‑procedure Thoracentesis Central line insertion Arterial line insertion Chest tube insertion Intubation TEE cardioversion, TTE Transvenous pacing wire insertion Required Certifications ACLS BLS Floating Areas Progressive Care Benefits Dental benefits Vision benefits Referral bonus Continuing Education Life insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr HealthTrust Workforce Solutions
