Responsibilities Alan B. Miller Medical Center A neighborhood hospital with medical center excellence! The new state-of-the-art hospital will join UHS’ growing regional network of healthcare operations which includes Wellington Regional Medical Center, the ER at Westlake (an extension of Wellington Regional Medical Center), Wellington Physicians Urgent Care and other healthcare services and access points. The Alan B. Miller Medical Center will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building and a helistop. Upon completion of the initial phase of the project, the hospital campus will include 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space. The new Medical Center will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Oncology, Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical services. In addition, the campus will be home to medical office buildings that will provide outpatient services. Quality Coordinator/RN (Full Time 40 hours a week) Responsible for the implementation, management , and oversight of t he q uality i mprovement programs for clinical focus areas of stroke, sepsis, and ca rdiovascular clinical data and reporting. Responsible for instruction, training and education regarding the assigned programs and tracking the measures, determining data validity and reporting the results in a format that can be reported to regulatory and accreditation registries. R esponsible for ensuring knowledge of the continual readiness requirement for accreditation and regulatory surveys through data collection, rounding, and feedback to departments and staff . Qualifications Quality Coordinator/RN Job Requirements: Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited educational institution required . MS in nursing or master’s degree in related field from an accredited educational institution preferred. Experience: Minimumof1 years ofexperienceinquality assurancein an acutecare setting. Minimum1-3yearsas a clinical nurse in medical surgical setting E xperienced in the use of core measures abstraction, benchmarking , spreadsheet software , and databases. Skills: Thorough understanding of Joint Commission standards, NPGs, state and federal standards,coremeasuresandvalue-basedstar ratings for clinical indicators. Knowledge ofperformance improvementmethodologiesandoutcomemanagement. Knowledge of p eer r eview and clinical chart reviews . Knowledge of healthcare facility operations, functions, and staffing requirements. Strong computer skills and knowledge Microsoft Office products and Cerner (preferred) . License / Certification: Current and unencumbered Florida Registered Nurse license . CPHQ preferre d . CPHQ must be obtained within 24 months of hire date.
