RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster II (KS Virtual) (position ID 134359) Zurich is seeking an RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster II who will work from a home-based office in Kansas. This role requires 40 hours per week with approximately 50% travel within a 100‑mile radius of the Kansas counties of Cheyenne, Decatur, Graham, Greeley, Logan, Rawlins, Scott, Sheridan, Sherman, Thomas, Wallace, and/or Wichita. Primary Responsibilities Complete field inspections and related tasks with minimal supervision, including reading maps and aerial photos, measuring fields and storage bins, and discussing crop loss findings with farmers. Convey complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry stakeholders. Conduct fact‑finding regarding crop damage, record information, and transmit loss data to determine potential indemnities. Gather relevant facts using applicable law, establishing basic principles of negligence. Complete claim reviews and audits of lower‑level adjusters as assigned. Maintain legal compliance by keeping a strong working knowledge of regulatory and company policies and procedures. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results and participating in projects as needed. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Two or more years of experience in crop insurance and claims adjusting. Reliable personal transportation and ability to travel within the territory. Physical ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles, climb storage bins up to 25 feet, lift 25‑50 lbs, and work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions. Preferred Qualifications Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organization and prioritization skills. Experience providing technical training to other crop professionals. Compensation Hourly rate: $23.66 – $33.89, with an incentive bonus of up to 5%.
