Job Profile Summary

\n

\n
• The Senior Project Planner Scheduler is a key member of the project controls team responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules and project controls across multiple complex infrastructure and power quality projects.
\n
• This role ensures effective planning and reporting to support project delivery, while providing strategic insight, risk analysis, and guidance to project leadership.
\n

Main Accountabilities

\n

\n
• Develop and maintain detailed Level 1–4 schedules using Primavera P6 (or similar planning tools), ensuring alignment with project objectives, contractual requirements, and critical path.
\n
• Lead planning and scheduling activities across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup phases.
\n
• Provide earned value management (EVM) analysis, performance measurement, and project forecasting support.
\n
• Integrate cost and schedule data to support comprehensive project progress and performance reporting.
\n
• Identify schedule risks and opportunities, perform scenario analysis, and recommend mitigation strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and construction teams to capture accurate status updates and changes.
\n
• Prepare and present project controls reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to senior stakeholders.
\n
• Support change management and claims analysis through schedule impact assessments and time impact analysis (TIA).
\n
• Ensure schedule data integrity, quality, and governance in line with organizational standards.
\n
• Mentor and support junior planners and schedulers in planning best practices and tools.

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
\n
• Minimum of 6–10 years of experience in project planning and controls, preferably in the energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
\n
• Highly proficient in Primavera P6 and working knowledge of MS Project and other project controls specific software (e.g., Deltek Acumen, Excel, Power BI).
\n
• Strong understanding of critical path method (CPM) earned value analysis (EVA), and schedule risk analysis.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to manage schedules on multi-million-dollar projects with complex interfaces.
\n
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
\n
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
\n
• PMP-SP, PSP (AACE), or similar certification preferred.
\n
