We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in palliative care to join a dedicated healthcare team serving the Midwest region. This role involves delivering comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, while supporting physicians and advanced practice providers in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and document patients' physical, psychological, and social needs within the clinic environment.
• Assist with office procedures and establish treatment priorities based on medical and nursing diagnoses.
• Administer medications accurately and document patient responses and any adverse effects.
• Perform clinical procedures including injections, immunizations, phlebotomy, EKGs, vision screenings, and more.
• Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers and facilities as directed.
• Effectively triage and return patient phone calls in a timely manner.
• Communicate test results to patients following provider instructions.
• Maintain exam rooms, replenish supplies, and ensure cleanliness.
• Provide patient and family education tailored to their understanding.
• Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems according to established protocols.
• Manage workload efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while prioritizing patient care.

Education and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current Registered Nurse licensure valid for practice in the Midwest region.
• Hospice and palliative care experience is preferred.
• Minimum of three years healthcare experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Epic Electronic Health Records is a plus.

Requirements

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to calmly support distressed patients and families.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a positive, attentive approach.
