Join us at flyExclusive and take your career to new heights!Job SummaryThe QC Inspector is solely responsible to the Chief Inspector while accomplishing inspections in accordance with flyExclusive General Maintenance Manual.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsuring all assigned inspections are properly completed in compliance with established policies and procedures.Conduct receiving inspection of all components, materials, tooling, and hardware as required by the manuals and applicable FARsInspecting and evaluating work performed by AMTs, sheet metal AMTs, and avionics technicians, ensuring compliance and rework of deficiencies is performed when required.Conduct RII inspections in accordance with approved procedures and maintenance program requirements.Review paperwork, including but not limited to, maintenance forms, parts tags, job cards, log pages and tally sheets to ensure compliance with company manual and all applicable FARsEnsuring safety procedures are followed and potential damage to customer or company property is eliminated by overseeing aircraft handling activities, including but not limited to, jacking, fueling, defueling, and towingConduct weight and balance analysis by using approved maintenance manuals and scales.Perform additional duties as assigned.Skills and Abilities:Thorough understanding of aircraft parts, systems, and mechanics.Thorough understanding of tools and testing methods used to ensure proper functioning of an aircraft and its parts, systems, and mechanics.Ability to read, comprehend, and adhere to manual instructions to resolve complex mechanical issues.Detail-oriented with mechanical inclination.Superior and careful workmanship.Leadership and team oriented.Ability to perform consistently under stressful conditions.Ability to perform basic inspections and repairs.Ability to learn new skills and methods of repairs.Sufficient oral and verbal communication skills, as needed, to discuss equipment malfunctions and complete reports.Being a self-starter who is highly motivated with strong initiativeInterpersonal skills with an emphasis on strong communication skills in both oral and written formsCompetenciesMicrosoft Office SuitesCorridorFamiliar with Title 14 of the Code of Federal RegulationsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software used to complete and maintain records.Scissor Lift Certified (Preferred)Forklift Certified (Preferred)Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThe QC Inspector may work with the shop personnel but cannot accomplish or give on the job training to maintenance personnel in areas that he/she is to inspect.Work EnvironmentTypical outdoor and industrial/hangar environments.Some exposure extreme temperatures are to be expected due to travel requirementsTypical business aircraft interior, tight cramped space.While performing the duties of this job, employees are frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and loud noise levels both inside and outside the hangar.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Physical DemandsAbility to see and hear clearlyAbility to read, comprehend, and speak English clearlyAbility to climb, twist, bend, crouch, stoop, kneel, and crawlAbility to move in tight quartersAbility to sit, stand, and walk for extended periodsManual dexterity and physical strength are necessary to operate tools and/or make adjustments and repairs.Must have visual acuity to inspect equipment and identify defects.Must be able to hear well enough to test sounds and identify functioning level of aircraft.Must be able to perform work on scaffolding or ladders.Must be capable of regularly lifting, moving, pulling, and pushing objects weighing up to 75 poundsDress Code and UniformWell-groomed appearanceAdherence to department dress codeEEO StatementflyExclusive does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sex stereotyping, gender identity, gender expression or transgender status), national origin, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, age, protected genetic information, status as a parent, marital status, political affiliation, or retaliation based on prior protected EEO activity.Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMust 18 years of age or olderFAA (Federal Aviation Administration) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License required.Requires 6 + years of experience with hands-on Aircraft MaintenanceExtensive knowledge of all aircraft mechanical systems functions and interactions. Thorough working knowledge of all current FAA regulations, IPM and ATA codes.Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States, must provide two forms of Federal IdentificationCandidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment. This includes verification of previous employment, education, criminal history, and any other relevant information necessary to determine the suitability for the position.This position is classified as a Safety-Sensitive role under Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and is subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with FAA guidelinesPreferred Qualifications2 years of prior Quality Control Inspector experience in MRO/Aerospace Industries preferred.It's preferred that you have at least 10 years of experience with corporate jets or show that you have the knowledge and skills needed to do the job.Inspection Authorization (IA) Certification preferred.Prior experience with CorridorCandidates with Business Corporate Jet experience will be given priority #J-18808-Ljbffr FlyExclusive
