Help Shape the Next Generation of Healthcare Professionals
Are you passionate about Diagnostic Medical Sonography and mentoring future healthcare professionals? Southeastern College is seeking an experienced Lab Assistant to support students as they develop hands-on clinical skills in a dynamic learning environment.
In this role, you'll serve as a key resource in the lab, helping students build confidence, master essential techniques, and prepare for success in their careers. Working closely with faculty, you'll help bridge classroom learning with real-world application.
What You'll Do- Supervise and support students during hands-on lab activities
- Monitor student progress and provide guidance on lab assignments
- Validate completion of lab competencies and skills
- Promote a safe, professional, and engaging learning environment
- Communicate student progress and opportunities for improvement to faculty
- Assist with student orientation and lab readiness
- Support the college's commitment to academic excellence and student success
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program (or related healthcare program)
- Minimum of two years of field experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current industry credential(s) required
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and supporting student success
- Make a meaningful impact on students and their future careers
- Share your professional expertise in a supportive academic environment
- Collaborate with experienced faculty and healthcare professionals
- Help prepare the next generation of skilled healthcare providers
