The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in metal fabrication, fitting, assembly, and structural repairs. This role involves preparing, aligning, and fitting metal components while ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with workplace safety standards.

Requirements

• Fit, assemble, and align metal components according to specifications.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication instructions.

• Measure, mark, cut, and prepare materials for fitting and assembly.

• Perform structural repairs and modifications as needed.

• Use grinders, cutting torches, measuring tools, and other fabrication equipment.

• Ensure proper alignment, dimensions, and fit-up before welding.

• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and quality.

• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe working condition.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on experience as a Fitter.

• Experience in metal fabrication, fitting, and structural assembly.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

• Proficiency in using measuring tools, grinders, and cutting equipment.

• Strong understanding of fitting techniques and material preparation.

• Previous experience in industrial or marine environments preferred.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

• Ability to work in physically demanding environments.
