UChange Home Care is seeking a dependable and compassionate Female Spanish-Speaking Personal Care Assistant (PCA) / Caregiver to provide in-home support to seniors and individuals with disabilities in Chicago, Illinois, and surrounding communities. This role is well-suited to someone who is reliable, patient, and able to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, particularly with clients and families who prefer or require Spanish-language communication.Job Location: Chicago, Illinois, and surrounding areasEmployment Type: Part-TimeHours: Approximately 20–30 hours per week, depending on client needs and availabilityPay: Starting at $17.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and client needsShift options may include mornings, days, afternoons, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays, with some after-school scheduling opportunities depending on client assignments. Preferred days, available hours, and preferred work areas can be discussed to help identify a schedule that fits your availability.ResponsibilitiesAssisting clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toiletingProviding mobility assistance and safe transfers when requiredOffering companionship and emotional supportPreparing meals and assisting with meal-related activitiesPerforming light housekeeping and maintaining a clean, comfortable environmentAssisting with daily routines and personal care needsProviding medication reminders when applicable and permitted within assigned responsibilitiesCommunicating respectfully and effectively with clients and their families, including in Spanish when neededUsing a mobile device or approved system to clock in and out and document services providedFollowing the client's care plan and agency policiesCommunicating changes or concerns to the office promptlyMaintaining dependable attendance, punctuality, and professional conductQualificationsAbility to speak and communicate in SpanishAt least 1 year of caregiving, personal care, or home care experience preferredCNA or HHA certification preferred, but not required for every positionWillingness to complete required training and onboardingReliable transportation when required for the assigned clientValid driver's license and automobile insurance when driving is requiredReliable smartphone for communication, scheduling, electronic visit verification, and care documentationAuthorization to work in the United StatesAbility to successfully complete required background screening and other applicable pre-employment requirementsCandidates from a variety of backgrounds are encouraged to apply, including experienced caregivers and Home Health Aides, Certified Nursing Assistants and recent CNA graduates, professionals from home health, hospice, or assisted living settings, individuals with prior personal care experience, college students pursuing healthcare careers, stay-at-home parents seeking flexible work, empty nesters, retirees, and anyone with a genuine interest in supporting seniors and individuals with disabilities.
