Territory Manager – Sports Medicine

Our client is a rapidly growing orthopedic medical device company bringing an innovative bio-integrative fixation technology to the Sports Medicine market. The technology is designed to support natural bone healing while eliminating many of the challenges associated with permanent metal implants.

As a Territory Manager, you will be responsible for developing and expanding the Sports Medicine business within your assigned geography. This is a highly entrepreneurial, field-based role for an experienced orthopedic sales professional who knows how to open new accounts, develop surgeon relationships, and drive adoption of disruptive technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive significant year-over-year territory growth by converting high-volume Sports Medicine surgeons from traditional fixation solutions to an innovative bio-integrative technology.

• Secure hospital and ASC approvals while establishing first-case utilization within targeted accounts.

• Develop strong relationships with fellowship-trained Sports Medicine surgeons, hospital administrators, supply chain leaders, and value-analysis committees.

• Educate and support surgeons through cadaver labs, product training, first cases, and ongoing clinical support.

• Identify and develop regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) who can help drive peer-to-peer education and broader market adoption.

• Build and manage a disciplined sales pipeline while maintaining accurate forecasting and CRM activity.

• Partner with Clinical, Medical Affairs, and Marketing teams to communicate clinical outcomes and support continued adoption within key accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of successful quota-carrying orthopedic or Sports Medicine medical device sales experience.

• Documented history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

• Established relationships with Sports Medicine surgeons and orthopedic decision-makers within the territory.

• Proven ability to open new accounts and convert surgeons from incumbent technologies.

• Experience supporting procedures in the OR and working within hospital and ASC environments.

• Comfortable conducting surgeon education, product demonstrations, wet labs, and clinical presentations.

• Strong understanding of hospital contracting, supply chain, and value-analysis processes.

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or clinical background is a plus.

The position is field-based and requires significant travel throughout the assigned territory.
