Description

Key Responsibilities:

Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain marine navigation and communication systems aboard commercial vessels.
Working independently at customer sites, you'll diagnose equipment issues, perform installations and software updates, test system performance, and complete detailed service documentation.
Test, calibrate, and adjust electronic systems.
Load, configure, and update equipment software and firmware.
Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and blueprints.
Diagnose electronic and system-level faults using test equipment.
Complete detailed service reports.
Provide professional customer service aboard vessels and in shipyards.
Servicing Equipment: Marine radar systems, ECDIS, satellite communications (Satcom), HF and VHF radios, GPS navigation systems, gyrocompasses, autopilot systems, echo sounders, and sonar systems.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:

3+ years of experience as an Electronics Technician (ET), Marine Electronics Technician (MET), Missile System Electronics (MSE), Aviation Electronics Technician (AT), or similar technical role.
Experience in commercial marine electronics or military electronics from the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, or Marine Corps.
Associate degree in electronics or equivalent technical training and experience.
Strong understanding of electronics theory, troubleshooting, and circuit analysis.
FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License with Radar Endorsement and GMDSS Radio Operator Maintainer License preferred.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
