Learning Consultant & Designer

Core ResponsibilitiesConsult with internal and external partners to conduct learning and performance needs assessments and define clear performance outcomes.Apply an understanding of how people learn at work to make informed design decisions that account for learner context, accessibility, and real‑world application.Lead the strategy, design, development, and/or curation of learning experiences using user centered design principles and established accessibility best practices.Build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders through clear, consistent communication.Recommend and implement learning solutions that align with divisional goals.Manage multiple projects through the full lifecycle using established project management tools and practices.Evaluate learning effectiveness and learning practices, using data and feedback to improve individual solutions and the broader learning approach.Pilot and iterate on new learning methods, technologies, and delivery formats.Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of progressive experience in learning and development, with demonstrated strength in instructional design, learning experience design, and content development or curation.Proven experience designing learning experiences, with a strong portfolio across digital, blended, and instructor‑led formats.Proven experience conducting learning and performance consulting, including needs assessment, problem diagnosis, and recommending solutions aligned to business and performance outcomes.Demonstrated ability to manage and influence stakeholder relationships, partnering effectively with leaders and subject matter experts to inform design decisions.Ability to manage multiple projects independently, apply inclusive and accessible design practices, and collaborate effectively across teams.Experience working within an IT organization and partnering with engineering, product, data, cybersecurity, or technology leaders is preferred.Key SkillsLearning & Performance ConsultingLearning Experience DesignTechnical Learning & IT AcumenStakeholder Management & InfluenceLearning Measurement & EvaluationAI LiteracySpecial FactorsSponsorshipVanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position.About VanguardAt Vanguard, we don't just have a mission—we're on a mission.To work for the long-term financial wellbeing of our clients.
