Senior Software Engineer - Big Data

Designing and optimizing scalable data pipelines, the full-time Senior Software Development Engineer - Big Data will work remotely to create high-quality data products that support analytics and AI-driven capabilities across the organization. Key responsibilities Architect and implement scalable, secure, and observable data pipelines and services for large data sets Lead technical design reviews and mentor engineers on best practices for Big Data solutions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust data solutions and APIs Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field 8+ years of experience in software engineering focused on data-intensive or distributed systems Experience with modern big data, streaming, and cloud-native technologies Hands-on experience building agentic solutions or familiarity with major AI tools; Databricks is a plus Experience collaborating with product, analytics, and data science teams to deliver scalable data solutions Virtual Vocations Inc
