Behavioral Health Consultant (School-Based Health Center)

In this rewarding position, you'll work alongside medical providers, educators, families, and community partners to deliver evidence-based behavioral health services that make a meaningful impact every day. You'll have the opportunity to provide direct clinical care, influence treatment planning, support prevention efforts, and help shape a positive school environment where students can succeed.

What You'll Do

Provide Clinical Care & Behavioral Health Support

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Deliver evidence-based individual, family, and group therapy services.

• Collaborate with primary care providers and interdisciplinary team members to support whole-person care.

• Develop and monitor behavior change plans as part of each patient's Individual Comprehensive Treatment Plan.

• Identify students at risk and implement interventions that promote resilience, recovery, and long-term success.

Collaborate & Advocate

• Serve as a key member of the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team.

• Partner with teachers, school administrators, parents, and community organizations to support student well-being.

• Participate in IEP meetings, Youth Advisory Council meetings, Community Advisory Committee meetings, and other collaborative initiatives.

• Connect students and families with appropriate community resources and specialty mental health services.

Educate & Inspire

• Provide behavioral health education to students, families, school personnel, and healthcare team members.

• Facilitate classroom presentations, workshops, outreach activities, and wellness initiatives.

• Contribute to program development and quality improvement efforts designed to enhance patient outcomes.

• Provide mentorship and supervision to interns as assigned.

Documentation & Care Coordination

• Complete psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, clinical documentation, and reports in a timely manner.

• Maintain accurate patient records and coordinate referrals when needed.

• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies based on clinical needs.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW)

• Current Michigan Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required upon hire)

• Valid Michigan Driver's License
