Deli/Bakery Team Associate

Role summary The main priority of Deli / Bakery associates is to prepare quality products for customers. They engage with customers at the service counter and move incoming merchandise out to the salesfloor. Cleaning and maintaining proper food safety standards are critical to the team's success. For complete job duties and requirements, see the Job Description. Responsibilities Work in the deli, providing front‑line customer service and maintaining a friendly, helpful presence. Help customers order cakes, fulfill deli orders, or locate produce and other items. Work in the bakery, assisting customers celebrate special moments and ensuring high‑quality baked goods. Move incoming merchandise to the salesfloor while ensuring proper storage and presentation. Clean and sanitize shelves and equipment, verify dates, maintain temperature control, and dispose of lower‑quality food products. Assist in packing ready‑to‑sell products in proper containers and stocking displays. Qualifications Ability to help customers find desired products. Commitment to maintaining high product quality across produce, deli, bakery, dairy, and meat departments. Experience or passion for fresh food or grocery is preferred. Strong customer‑service skills, including communication and problem solving. Physical ability to lift up to 40 lb, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions.
