Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Innovation Counsel to join their Practice Innovation team in Boston. This role involves advancing practice-specific initiatives to maximize the value of innovation technologies and practices, collaborating with various teams to drive best practices in legal technology.

Duties
  • Support legal technology adoption initiatives impacting practice groups.
  • Design playbooks for best practices in innovation technologies.
  • Organize presentations, status reports, and executive briefings.
  • Collaborate with leadership on initiative prioritization processes.
  • Develop objectives and success metrics for technology adoption.
  • Analyze practice group workflows to identify improvement areas.
  • Drive legal technology pilots and continuous improvements.
  • Assist change management teams in developing communication campaigns.
  • Maintain practice group-specific resources and automate efforts.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of applicable experience in legal practice or technology adoption.
  • Active bar membership or registered in‑house counsel status.
  • Experience in cross‑functional projects involving legal technology.
  • Understanding of large law firm financial and work allocation processes.
Education
  • Juris Doctorate or non‑US equivalent.
Certifications
  • Active bar membership or registered in‑house counsel status.
Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and firm applications.
  • Strong presentation skills and experience.
  • Ability to analyze and solve legal service delivery problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Focus on detail while maintaining a big‑picture perspective.
