Assistant Director Science Academic Support Services
Old Dominion University
This position will develop, lead, coordinate, and assess the academic support services offered by the College of Sciences. It will involve directing the activities of the Science Tutoring Centers and University Testing Center, designing and implementing innovative support programs in coordination with faculty and staff, and evaluating the impact of these initiatives on student success.
Minimum Qualifications
Working knowledge of academic support programs.
Working knowledge of tutoring and mentoring philosophies.
Strong data analysis skills.
Strong communication skills both written and oral.
Strong organization skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and assess programs.
Strong problem solving ability.
Bachelor’s degree in sciences or education, or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
Considerable experience working in higher education.
Considerable experience working with undergraduate students.
Considerable experience working with academic support programs.
