Transportation Engineer – Illinois

Job Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Engineer to lead and manage transportation projects from planning through construction. The ideal candidate will have strong roadway design experience and a background working with IDOT and municipal clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead roadway geometric, drainage, utility, and hydraulic design.
Oversee traffic analysis, signal design, and maintenance of traffic plans.
Manage IDOT Phase I/II design projects and public involvement activities.
Review engineering plans for regulatory compliance.
Coordinate with municipalities, utility districts, and state agencies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
Active Illinois Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Experience with IDOT and Illinois municipal transportation projects preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation experience preferred.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
