Join us to innovate for impact and reimagine the future of health and nutrition for patients and consumers.POSITION OVERVIEWThe Production Supervisor/Team Leader role applies Daily Management System (DMS) methodology to day-to-day business operations to ensure that targets are met while maintaining a safe and secure work environment for associates. This role is responsible for coaching team members, as well as making sure that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and other applicable regulations are adhered to ensure the quality, quantity and integrity of the products produced and distributed.Work Schedule: 2nd shift, Monday - Friday - with some flexibility for coverage earlier before shift in preparation neededJOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESProvides daily direction; motivates and develops successful teamsParticipates in the recruitment and training of new associatesResponsible for all associate related issues for direct reportsDevelops, coaches and counsels team members on a regular basisCommunicates performance expectations to associatesCoaches and develops associates, performing regular evaluations of associates through factual performance data together with observationsEnsures performance (adherence to standard work, attendance, safety, code of conduct, etc.) of direct reports to achieve expected standards in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and CostCompletes evaluations for all new associates (30-60-80 days)Monitors associate performance and provides coachingCounsels associates and provides corrective actions when neededEnsures tasks are completed within set deadlinesResponsible for the training and development of associatesDrafts and maintains performance documentation in accordance with company policy/proceduresEnsures safety policies and practices are adhered to and work habits support a culture of safetyImplements procedural/policy changes to enhance department performanceWorks effectively in a multitask environment and consistently supports the progress of ongoing initiativesMonitors productivity to make sure that efficiency, cost and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met on a daily basisPlans work schedules and manages overtime - keeps accurate attendance recordsMaintains and updates all applicable records and systemsFiles proper reports in accordance with company policy/practice (accident, probation, etc.)Promotes an environment of teamworkWorks with day-to-day activities to support process improvementsQUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCEPrevious lead/supervision experience preferred (2-3 years)Experience in applicable operations preferred (5+ years)Manufacturing equipment experience, coating equipment preferredKnowledge of cGMP's. Preferred experience in food/beverage, dietary supplement or pharmaceutical industriesBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experienceLean, Six Sigma, TPM, TQM and Team Based Organization (e.g. HPO) experience preferredMust be detail oriented and organizedMust be flexible to changing prioritiesMust be able to read, write and speak English fluentlyBilingual Spanish a plusExperince with Microsoft Office SuiteSalary: $78,000.00 to $90,000.00 per yearBonus Eligibility: YesThe pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
