The Dietary / Kitchen Aide supports all food service functions in accordance with established policies and procedures, ensuring residents receive safe, nutritious, and properly prepared meals in a clean and sanitary environment.

• Review, prepare, and serve meals according to planned menus, standardized recipes, and special diet orders

• Ensure food preparation and kitchen areas meet all sanitary and safety standards

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food service areas

• Prepare and deliver snacks as instructed

• Assist with meal preparation, cooking, plating, and clean-up of prep areas

• Follow proper food handling and infection control procedures at all times

• Support a safe and efficient dietary department operation

• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and a positive attitude

• Ability to work with residents of varying needs and abilities

• Kitchen or food service experience preferred but not required

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail
