Summary

The Frame Production Associate is responsible for assembling, inspecting, packaging, and preparing picture frames and related products while ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to production standards.

Essential Duties

• Assemble picture frames and related products using established production processes, including gluing, stapling, fitting, and final assembly.
• Prepare mats and framing components according to product specifications and customer requirements.
• Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, appearance, and workmanship to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Clean, label, and prepare completed frames for shipment.
• Handle, move, and organize raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods throughout the production area.
• Review and prioritize work orders to meet production schedules, customer deadlines, and operational requirements.
• Package finished products using proper materials and methods to prevent damage during storage and transportation.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area by following housekeeping and safety procedures.
• Identify and report quality concerns, material shortages, equipment issues, or process improvements to supervisors.
• Assist with inventory management activities, including stocking materials and maintaining accurate counts when required.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to support production goals and workflow efficiency.
• Perform other production-related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years production experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Other Skills and Abilities

Must have good mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot equipment, the ability to use measuring devices such as a tape measure, operate machines/hand tools.  The ability to read manuals, communicate and follow instructions either verbal or written.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The employee is frequently exposed to vibration.  The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock.  The employee, on occasion, is exposed to temperatures above 90 degrees and below 60 degrees.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
